Miles Hildebrand, DVM

Special Interests: Sports medicine, chiropractic, surgery, dentistry

Dr. Hildebrand completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University, College Of Veterinary Education in 1998, completing his clinical studies at North Carolina State University. 
His undergraduate education was completed at Texas A&M University with an interest in Political Science. 

Dr. Hildebrand grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. where his father owned racehorses and he worked as a groom at the track.  He was involved in semi-pro, college, and minor league baseball as a player, coach, and scout. Before vet school, Dr. Hildebrand worked in politics, including as a White House Liaison.  Now he enjoys sailing, ice hockey, scuba diving, and spending time with his wife, son, and their two English bulldogs. 
Elizabeth Kruttlin, DVM, MS

Special Interests: Acupuncture, Lameness, Neurology, Anesthesia

Dr. Kruttlin completed her Doctor of Veterinary Degree at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  In conjunction with veterinary school, she also completed a Masters degree, focusing her research on the Prevention of EPM in horses. 

Dr. Kruttlin was born and raised in northern Michigan.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, horseback riding, and downhill skiing. 
Jessica D. Younk, DVM

Special Interests: Lameness and Sports Medicine, Certified Equine Chiropractor, Acupuncture, Surgery

Dr. Younk graduated from Michigan State University with an Animal Science degree in 2004, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She then completed an internship at Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital, gaining invaluable experience in all areas of equine medicine, surgery, lameness, and reproduction.  She has pursued post-graduate training in advanced lameness evaluations, spinal manipulation, acupuncture, and diagnostic imaging, with a focus on maintaining the equine athlete.

Dr. Younk grew up in a small northern Michigan town, where her family raised Morgans for many years.  She now owns a warmblood gelding and trains in Dressage.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending as much time as she can outdoors.  Her many interests include riding running, biking, kayaking, and hiking. 


Megan Tilly, LVT
Office/Hospital Manager

Megan Tilly is a licensed veterinary technician who has been with Blue Water Equine Hospital since January 2005. Megan attended Macomb Community College and obtained her veterinary technician license in 2004. During that time, she worked in a small animal veterinary practice utilizing her technical skills in areas such as surgery, anesthesia and emergency situations. She is now a member of AAEVT, an organization supporting equine veterinary technician. 

Megan grew up in Algonac, Michigan, and spent most of her time on her grandparent's horse farm, riding since the age of 2. She now resides in Clay Township, Michigan, with her husband, Ron, their son Trevor and dog Zaida. Megan enjoys spending time with her family and her horse, Mouse, a Thoroughbred gelding.

Diana Kroll, DVM

Special interests: Dentistry, emergency medicine, small ruminants/food animals

Dr. Kroll completed her undergraduate studies at Miami University with a degree in Zoology and Environmental Science in 2010. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2014. She then completed a field service internship at the University of Georgia where she gained advanced education in dentistry, equine sports medicine and food animal medicine and surgery.

Dr. Kroll grew up in Shelby Twp, Michigan and has been riding horses since she was 8 years old. She was a member of Ray's Riding Rascals 4-H club and Eisenhower's Equestrian team. In college, Dr. Kroll became interested in food animals while working at a large animal veterinary practice. In her spare time, Dr. Kroll enjoys trail riding her horse Bella, hiking, rock climbing and helping with her family farm.
